# Errors

> Status codes and error codes returned by the BYOK key endpoints.

Every error has the shape below. The `message` never contains a credential value.

## Error codes

| Status | Code | Meaning |
| - | - | - |
| `400` | `error.provider_config.request_invalid` | The body is not valid. |
| `400` | `error.provider_config.provider_unsupported` | The provider is not in the [supported providers](https://docs.fullenrich.com/api/v2/providers/supported-providers.md). |
| `400` | `error.provider_config.credentials_required` | `credentials` is missing. |
| `400` | `error.provider_config.credentials_invalid` | A credential field is missing, unexpected, or malformed. |
| `400` | `error.provider_config.credentials_rejected` | The provider refused the credentials. Nothing is saved. |
| `400` | `error.provider_config.priority_required` | `priority` is missing. |
| `400` | `error.provider_config.priority_invalid` | `priority` is not a positive integer. |
| `400` | `error.provider_config.zone_invalid` | `zone` is not `front`, `back`, or `auto`. |
| `400` | `error.provider_config.data_types_invalid` | `data_types` has a type the provider does not supply. |
| `400` | `error.provider_config.update_empty` | The update body has no field to change. |
| `401` | | The API key is missing or unknown. See [Authentication](https://docs.fullenrich.com/api/v2/general/authentication.md). |
| `403` | `error.forbidden` | BYOK is not enabled for the workspace. Contact support. |
| `404` | `error.provider_config.not_found` | No key exists for this provider in the selected scope. |
| `404` | `error.sub_account.not_found` | The sub-account does not exist. |
| `404` | `error.sub_account.archived` | The sub-account is archived. You can only read its keys. |
| `409` | `error.provider_config.already_exists` | A key already exists for this provider. Use [`POST /providers/{provider}`](https://docs.fullenrich.com/api/v2/providers/update) to change it. |
| `429` | `error.rate.limit` | The [rate limit](https://docs.fullenrich.com/api/v2/general/ratelimit.md) is exceeded. |
| `503` | `error.provider_config.verification_unavailable` | The provider did not answer the credential check. Nothing is saved. Try again later. |

## Enrichment errors related to BYOK

| Status | Code | Meaning |
| - | - | - |
| `400` | `error.enrichment.byok.auto_position_missing` | A key with `zone: auto` names a provider that is not in the FullEnrich waterfall for its data types. Returned by `POST /contact/enrich/bulk`. Set the zone to `front` or `back`. |
